A brilliant training event was held at Rutland Water on 21 & 22 April. It was so good that we have already booked up for next year. Many thanks to Kathy Brassington for organising the venue and arrangements, to Kevin Moore for his expert training, and to Maggie Futcher for her support work.

A competitive fleet assembled at West Oxfordshire for the open on 5 & 6 May, shared with the British Moths. Mike Radford of the home club showed mastery of the tricky conditions to triumph. A full report and results can be found in the news section. Next stop is Cardiff on 2 & 3 June, where the hospitality is legendary - see you there!

Draycote Water Sailing Club are organising an end of season handicap open meeting called the Draycote Dash. This is to be an event for all types of boat over a variety of courses, for everyone to enjoy.

Event date is 20-21st November.

There will be food available on Saturday evening, and we are hoping to keep the bar open late.

The event website can be found here:

We are using a partner website called Sailracer who have created an event website which will allow pre-entry and will have any documents required such as NOR and eventually SI's and such like. You are also able to book the evening meal during the online registration process. Booking in advance will save you some money too!

A complete DVD of "How To" set up, tune, sail, coach etc the CII. can be downloaded off the website. Most CII sailors will find it quite useful. Section 9 "Tacking the windward traveller", describes the use of the two traveller cars and a bridle.
