Please find herewith a copy of the RYA selection policy for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in China. It has been developed after much deliberation by RYA, and following discussion and negotiation with Alberto of Nautivela.

It will be a two stage selection process (all articulated in the policy) initially in Laser 4.7 in the UK, and then in chartered Byte CII’s in Italy. If people can access a Byte C11 they can independently enter stage two of the process, although costs will not be met by the RYA in these circumstances.

If you have any queries then it is best to get in touch direct with Duncan Truswell at the RYA.

There will be significant publicity arising from the selection events and YOG itself, which should boost interest in the class.
